Rosie began teaching kids out of her garage with little more than some paper and pens. Today, it's grown into its own home, tutoring more than a thousand kids. Through this program, she has brought crime rates down. Her students increased their writing skills by two-point-one grade levels and two-point-nine grade levels in math.
Rosie's garage is a non-profit and runs entirely on donations. Her budget is 152-thousand dollars a year.
