Holiday shopping is known for it's crowds and long lines, but now Downtown Wichita Falls Development is offering an alternative to the cranky Christmas shopping.

For the first time Downtown Wichita Falls Development will hold a Christmas Crawl.

It will take place Thursday evening from 5 to 8.

Folks are encouraged to come downtown, where about 25 businesses will stay open late providing a fun and festive atmosphere to shop in.

Free live entertainment will be scattered throughout the 25 businesses participating and they'll also give away some door prizes.

A free trolley will provide rides to the different stores it will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Santa and the Grinch will even stroll through the downtown streets during the event.

For more information you're encouraged to call Dusty Potter, the Christmas Crawl Chairman at 264-4327.
