National hand-washing awareness week is the first week of December. Sounds simple, but the act of washing up can save your life.
Most people spend more time here than any place else, and here can be a dangerous place. A study from the University of Arizona found the average office desk harbors 400-times more germs than the average toilet seat!
The phone is home to more than 25,000 microbes per square inch and holds the title of the number one germiest place in the office.
Keyboards have nearly 3,300 microbes per square inch. That's 3,300 microbes between the A and the D. Just think about the rest. The average toilet seat has less than 50 microbes.
To keep clean, spray, wipe and sanitize. The CDC says stock your desk and your purse with wipes containing at least 60 percent alcohol content.
