Lawton Man Arrested for First Degree Murder

Lawton police make an arrest in the October murder of a Lawton woman.

Twenty-one year old Stephone Carter is in the Lawton city jail facing the first degree murder of Tanya Zachary.

Police say carter was a suspect in the murder.

And after arresting him on November 28th for an unrelated assault and battery charge investigators say he admitted to arguing with Zachary then shooting her.

On October 27th, Zachary was found dead inside a Lawton apartment on Southwest Jesse L. Davenport.
