New details are released in the single-car crash in Lawton that killed two people late Monday night.
According to Lawton police, a blue Dodge Durango slammed into an electrical pole on 7th Street between Gore Boulevard and A Avenue around 10:30 pm.
Police say the driver, 21-year-old Kanisha Brown, and her passenger, 27 year old Joseph Carpenter, were traveling southbound on 7th Street when Brown lost control of the car and struck an electrical pole causing it to roll several times before stopping near A Avenue.
Both Brown and Carpenter were pronounced dead at the scene. No word yet if alcohol is involved. The crash remains under investigation.
