By: Alex Zannes
Updated: December 21, 2012
Long before the final horn sounded signaling back-to-back 6 man championships for Throckmorton, the greyhounds dedicated the season to something much greater than another state title.
Shortly after Brandon Bailey, a 2010 graduate of rival Newcastle high school, died in a tragic fireworks accident in July, Gary Farquhar and rest of the Throckmorton players and coaches rallied to help the nearby community heal.
Throckmorton is our back-to-back team of the week.
Ben Coker compiled the sights and sounds of another Greyhounds state championship and the father who they're helping to heal.
