The Boys and Girls Club of Wichita Falls held its 84th annual Christmas party last night.
The evening started with a moment of silence for the 20 children killed in the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. The special event benefitted more than 800 children ages 6 through 12.
They got to sing Christmas carols and get into the holiday spirit. Boys and Girls club organizers want the kids who use their services to know that they are special.
Charles Vergauwen of the Boys and Girls Club said, "Just knowing that the Boys and Girls Club is here for them and the people of the community is behind them and everyone loves them and they are the light of our lives."
A Christmas party for ages 13 and up will be held on Saturday.
