Sheriff David Duke says this man, 33-year-old Jason Martin, ran from deputies when they tried to make a traffic stop around 3:45 this morning near Monroe St.
Duke says the deputies were attempting to stop a pick-up truck for no front license plate.
He says the vehicle then took off and a chase ensued.
The truck was occupied by three people.
Two males exited the vehicle and began to run.
One deputy stayed with the vehicle and third passenger, which is a female, and detained her for questioning.
Deputies caught one of the males and recognized the man who's on the loose from previous encounters and arrests.
Duke says the female is cooperating with investigators.
He says she told authorities the three were out committing car burglaries and car thefts.
She then brought investigators to a house in the 13-hundred block of Burnett where she says all the stolen property is being kept.
Right now, investigators are obtaining a search warrant to get into house.
Duke says most of the burglaries and thefts occurred in Wichita Falls during the past several days.
Again, authorities are looking for Jason Martin in connection with those crimes.
If you know his whereabouts, contact the Wichita County Sheriff's Office.
Duke says Martin is wanted for evading arrest and more charges are expected to be filed.
