Several people were arrested after deputy constables found a crystal meth lab inside a historic Texas home.

Montgomery County Precinct 4 deputy constables said they began looking for burglary suspects Tuesday afternoon and found them in the parking lot of a shopping center in Porter.

Investigators said they found guns that had been taken during a burglary in Huffman, but they knew there was other stolen property out there somewhere.

"The main thing with these burglaries is to try to get onto the suspects as soon as possible to try to locate to property because this property is fanning out to different people," Chief Deputy Barry Welch said.

State troopers joined in the search, and an investigation led officers to the old Noble Garvey House in Cleveland. It's a historical home that was built in the early 1900s, but investigators said it was being used to house a meth lab in 2013.

Detectives said they found drug-making equipment inside the home and they arrested four people there.
