Tomorrow is the Wichita Falls City Council's first meeting of the new year.
Topping their agenda, a Wichita Falls Municipal Airport project that looks like it could come in way under budget.
Engineers estimated replacing 30 concrete panels on the airport's Taxiway "C" would cost about $350-thousand.
But a bid from one company came in at less than half of that at just over $135-thousand.
City staff is recommending that bid be awarded so construction can get underway.
Councilors will decide whether or not to award the bid.
Nearly $122-thousand will be funded by the FAA.
The project is expected to last 90 days with construction beginning in early February.
Also on the agenda, the Department of State Health Services wants to give the city nearly $79-thousand for the HIV Prevention Program.
Councilors will vote whether to accept that money.
