Be Part of YMCA and Subway's Weight Loss Challenge

Updated: January 14, 2013
If your New Years resolution is to shed some pounds, area YMCA's are giving you another incentive to slim down.
Today is the first day of the Y and Subway's Weight Loss Challenge.
All you have to do is go to the Downtown or Family Y branches between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and weigh in.
Paulette Lemay, YMCA membership coordinator, says, "First place is a $1000 gift card to Dillard's, two bikes valued at $480 each, a family membership to the YMCA, and a $350 gift card to Subway."
Just go into the Downtown or Family Y branches for your first weigh-in now until Jan. 25.
    You'll have a second weigh-in in March.
First, second, and third place winners all get a $350 Subway gift card plus other prizes.
Men and women are competing against each other, so contestants will be judged on percentage of body fat lost during the competition.
And you do not have to be a YMCA member to participate in the competition.
