It's been closed since August after some of the concrete paneling wore down.
The project is coming in way under budget.
Engineers estimated replacing 30 concrete panels on the airport's Taxiway would cost about $350-thousand.
But a bid from one company came in at less than half that, at just over $135-thousand.
Councilors approved awarding the bid to that company, URS Corporation.
The project is expected to last 90 days with construction beginning in early February.
Nearly $122-thousand will be funded by the FAA.
