City officials are now looking at drafting an aircraft landing ordinance.
This after they got word a Wichita Falls doctor wants to use his backyard as a take-off and landing dock for his helicopter.
Officials say that resident lives in the Tanglewood neighborhood off Seymour Highway.
They say several residents of that neighborhood contacted them because they had safety concerns about the helicopter landing near homes.
The city does not have any ordinances prohibiting that, but because of residents' concerns, city leaders have asked staff to look into a possible ordinance that would restrict such activity.
Right now, it looks like that ordinance might make it unlawful to land an aircraft within 300 feet of any residence not owned by the aircraft owner-operator.
