Outlook for Higher Education Not Bright, Says Moody's

A higher education is getting lower on the totem pole. Ratings agency Moody's says the outlook for the higher education sector has turned sour. 

The agency had previously given higher education a stable outlook for market-leading research universities and negative for the rest of higher education. But it now says it's revising its outlook to negative for the entire sector. 

According to Moody's, even prestigious, top-tier research universities are under threat from declining enrollment, government spending cuts, and a growing public doubt about the value of a college degree.
