Fort Worth-based American Airlines is unveiling a bold, new makeover of its aircrafts for the first time in more than 40 years.
The airline says the new logo and fleet is designed to reflect the company's passion for progress. There's now an American flag on the tail of each new aircraft with the word "American" written in silver across the body of the plane.
American Airlines CEO Thomas Horton said, "Ah, we're going to come out of this restructuring strong, with a competitive cost structure, a strong balance sheet, and so now is really the time to turn the page and move the company forward."
Eventually, the airline says all of its old fleet of aircraft will also be painted with the new look.
