Authorities Say Another Robbery Solved Thanks to Theft Ring Bust

By: Melissa Foy
Updated: January 18, 2013
Authorities say they continue to solve car and home burglaries and thefts, thanks to the arrest of 10 people in a suspect theft and drug ring one week ago.
Thirty-three year-old Jason Martin was one of those.
He now has another charge to his name: burglary of a habitation.
When two Wichita County deputies tried to make a traffic stop last week, they say Martin fled from the vehicle they were trying to stop.
Authorities say they looked for Martin for 12 hours before they arrested him at the Econo Lodge off Seymour Highway.
During their investigation, authorities say Martin took them to a home in the 18-hundred block of Turtle Creek Rd.
That home had been burglarized in September and the case was closed because authorities had no evidence or leads.
An affidavit states Martin admitted to committing the burglary with another man and they broke windows and kicked in a door to get inside the home.
Martin is jailed on $475-thousand in bonds.
