A sunny Saturday set the stage for folks to lace up their tennis and pound the pavement in a run appropriately titled The Dual.

Our cameras caught runners crossing the finish line this morning near downtown Wichita Falls.

These folks participated the first day of The Dual, which had them running along the Wee-Chi-Tah dirt trail.

Many came from all over the area to compete but coordinators say their participation didn't just raise money for Wichita Falls Streams and Valley, Incorporated.

They also pumped money into the local economy.

"We want to bring people in, get them to stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants and just showcase our beautiful town," says Sandi Monson

Day two of The Dual kicks off Sunday morning with participants running on the Wichita Falls Circle Trail.

And folks are making strides in several marathons that range from a half marathon all the way up to a Boston qualifying full marathon, which is 26.2 miles.
