He's a writer, producer, director and actor.

And earlier tonight, Alex Kendrick used his God-given talent to help raise money for a Wichita Falls adoption agency.

Kendrick wrote, produced, director and acted in the 2011 movie Courageous, as well as the 2006 film Facing the Giants.

And tonight, he faced a Texoma crowd as the guest speaker at the 20th Annual Inheritance Adoption Banquet, which was held at the MPEC.

I'm a filmmaker that's worked on numerous films, Courageous, Facing the Giants, and a movie called Fireproof. And so I'm here to share the story of how we came to make those films out of a small town in Albany, Georgia and what God did in the process, and so uh it's exciting to share what the Lord did when we made these films and what happened with the films and to support a ministry along the way so it's great to be here," Kendrick says.

In addition to helping raise funds for Inheritance Adoptions, Kendrick also raised awareness about his film-making career by telling those at tonight's banquet about how he found success through his faith in God.
