Eighteen miles down and only six more miles to go and you'll be able to run nearly a full marathon, walking, biking or jogging, without going over the same stretch twice.
The city's Circle Trail was also on the discussion board at the city planning workshop.
There are three more gaps left to fill in: along Lake Wichita, along Barnett Rd., and along the Wichita Bluffs.
Each section is about two miles of trail.
At the next city council meeting, councilors will discuss the acquisition of property they'll need to complete the trail.
And officials say they're in the process of applying for more TxDOT grants to finish the project.
