Updated: January 25, 2013

Six people have died in the past week from the flu in Oklahoma bringing the total number to 14 flu-related deaths so far this flu season. Officials are urging people, if they haven't received a flu shot, to do so.

Comanche and Tulsa Counties leads the state of Oklahoma in flu-related deaths with three each. A report reveals four people were between the ages of 19 to 64 while 10 were over 64-years-of age.

In Wichita Falls, officials with the health district say it appears flu symptoms in the ER's have leveled off this week in area hospitals.

Vaccinations are still available through the Wichita County Public Health District. They will have more flu mist for children available by Monday. If you'd like more information, call 761-7800
