Wichita Falls High School Names New Head Football Coach

Danny Russell, former assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Garland High School, has been named the new head football coach and athletic coordinator at Wichita Falls High School. 
    Russell has been at Garland HS since 1995, where he served as the assistant coach and defensive coordinator since 2001.
    While there, his teams have won thirty playoff games, fourteen district championships, including the past two seasons.  His teams have gone to the playoffs in seventeen of his last nineteen seasons.
    In the last 110 district games his teams have posted a 96-14 record.  Russell is expected to meet with players later this week.
