Woman Killed When Car Crashes into Nursing Home

A woman was killed at the Fireside Lodge nursing home Friday morning when she lost control of her car along White Settlement Road, police say.

The car crashed through a pole and flipped into an awning.

Contrary to initial police reports, the driver was the only person killed in the crash and there were no other injuries reported, including anyone from the nursing home.

The crash is under investigation.
