Area veterans can improve their smiles through an upcoming program that is free of charge.

The program will give veterans in Wichita, Archer and Clay counties free x-rays and cleanings.

There will also be veteran's administration officials on site to help with filing claims and benefits.

This is the second year MSU's Dental Hygiene Department has teamed with Disable American Veterans to host the program.

"They had a wide array of different medical histories and a lot of different dental problems and everything that went around and that made it really good for our students and they got a good experience out of this and so did the veterans," says Kathy Hammack, patient coordinator with the Dental Hygiene Department.

The Spring Dental Stand Down is Wednesday, February 20th.

In Bridwell Hall Room 107 on the MSU campus but veterans are asked to schedule an appointment beforehand by calling 940-397-4764 or 940-397-4737.
