A Texoma boy and his family are now saying thank you after receiving enough funds for a diabetic alert dog.

Last night the "Guardian for Blake Benefit" was held at the Elks Lodge in Wichita Falls.

About 600 people enjoyed a Mexican dinner, dancing, and placing bids in a live auction.

And coordinators say this benefit raised some serious bucks, more than $20,000.

Blake's parents says that amount is $2,000 more than what's needed to get their 6 year old son a trained diabetic alert dog.

So his parents say they will use the extra money to pay for insurance on the dog and send Blake to a diabetic camp for kids.
