Roses, chocolates, jewelry all make good gifts, but if you want to spark a romance or re-kindle a fire, how about a last minute valentine's get away? Here are some of the best apps to help you find the best deals, no matter where you are going.
Isabella Morgia Di Vicari is passionate about food and her husband. While she's cooking up plans for this Valentine's Day, we found four apps to help you heat up your love life with a surprise getaway. Expedia's new hotel app will detect your location and show you nearby hotels, or you can enter the name of a city. Element New York Times Square came up at $126 versus $462 on other websites. At kayak.com/mobile, you can find a deal for tonight or enter a destination. You can save 25 percent by using the app and booking at the last minute. And orbitz.com is an old favorite, but now orbitz.com/mobile brags it can save you 65 percent off regular rates.
Saving money on the room so you can splurge someplace else. "And when my honey saves some money and spends it on me, I'm just so happy" says Di Vicardi
Priceline.com recently introduced an iPhone app that features last-minute deals on flights and rental cars as well as hotels. Check there for tonight only deals for the best bargain, and here's a tip: you can book up to four nights in a row.
