One of the treasures of Texoma will soon return to the area: The 22nd Annual Iwo Jima Reunion.

Veterans will begin registering Thursday at the Holiday Inn at the Falls. The reunion runs through Sunday. This year also marks the the 67th anniversary of that World War Two battle.

During the reunion, veterans will meet with local students, attend a USO show, watch the traditional flag-raising reenactment, and much more.

Of course, the public is always invited to drop in and meet some of these true American heroes in person.
