Some Allred Prisoners are gearing up for a big show.

The Kemp Center for the Arts will be displaying their art work in an annual exhibit.

On Thursday the Allred exhibit will open.

It will display 44 pieces featuring leather work, paintings, and wood carved work.

Kemp center for the arts employees say the show demonstrates the power of art.

"It cannot be caged, it cannot be held back, it cannot be restrained. So I think this is a great outlet for folks who have gotten themselves into this position," said Gary Kingcade, the gallery manager.

All art pieces can be purchased every Wednesday when an officer is present.

The money goes back to each artist to pay for their materials used to create their pieces.
