(KCRA)  When Citrus Heights, California resident Jim Johns got an ad in the mail to subscribe to the Sacramento Bee he called the 1-800 number and was shocked at what happened.

"Welcome to America's hottest talk line," a sexy voice says when the 1-800 number is dialed.

Instead of connecting him with the Sacramento Bee, the number sent him to an adult chat line.

"It kind of pissed me off," said Johns, who called the line several times thinking he misread the number in the ad.  "I had to call probably about five times."

It turns out the 1-800 number was off by one digit.  The right number was on another ad that was sent out to residents in the same area.
