It wasn't all business as usual at the wichita falls chamber of commerce and industry.

It was a day of packing.

Boxes were all over the office of President and CEO Tim Chase.

He announced last month that he was stepping down to head up the chamber of commerce in Wichita, Kansas.

While there was a whole lot of packing going on today, Chase says he also spent the day finalizing a lot of business.

"We are not for profit but we have payroll, financial and we have retirement plans for our employees. Those all have been my responsibility to administer in addition to doing the economic development work of the chamber. So, those are some of the details that have to be taken care of as I leave," says Chase.

A goodbye party Tim Chase will be held in conjunction with the chamber's Business After Hours event.

It's Tuesday, February 19th from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at the Ford House at 5401 Kell Boulevard in Wichita Falls.
