Despite the rainy weather we've experience the past couple days, city officials say construction of the Downtown Wichita Falls Travel Center is right on schedule.
City officials expect the travel center to be built and fully operational by July.
Local firm Anthony Inman Construction is doing all the work.
John Burrus, transportation director for the City of Wichita Falls, says, "We expect the steel to be in in the next two weeks, and I imagine in March we are going to start seeing the steel go up on the building."
Crews broke ground on the project in early October.
The travel center will serve a hub for city buses as well as regional and national buses.
It means regional bus riders won't have to board or get off their buses in Jolly.
And it will make make it easier for local veterans to get to the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City.
