Man Who Allegedly Used Hammer in Assault is No-billed

A Wichita Falls man police say he beat his uncle with a hammer will not face trial.

The Wichita County Grand Jury no-billed 41-year-old Oscar Garcia on the charge of aggravated assault.

Officers say in June, Garcia and a family member got into a fight inside a home in the 15-hundred block of Fillmore.

Police say the fight continued in the front yard of the home and Garcia began hitting the victim with a hammer.

The victim was taken to the hospital with head, chest, and arm injuries.

And a man who police say hid a drug fugitive who skipped the last day of his own trial is also no-billed.

Daniel Holcomb was originally charged with hindering apprehension when police say he lied about Ronnie Dabney's whereabouts.

Holcomb will not face trial.
