Remember that parking ticket you got back in October?

And you were supposed to go to the Wichita Falls Municipal Court to pay it?

Stan Horton, marshal for the City of Wichita Falls, says, "Unfortunately, there are a lot that don't come to the court and don't take care of their tickets."

A lot is right.

There are more than 11,000 pending traffic voilations in Wichita Falls.

Those outstanding fines must be paid by March 5.

"That's when we're officially going to begin to arrest individuals who have outstanding warrants," Horton says.

To avoid arrest, go ahead and pay off that old ticket now.

"A lot of people, it's a financial crunch for them in the times that we live in, but we have ways to work with them to pay their citations out. If they don't have the money, they can work them off through the work program for the city," Horton says.

He says the municipal court also provides payment plans so you can pay off your outstanding tickets and avoid arrest.

If you have an outstanding traffic ticket, take care of it before the round-up with just one phone call!

You can do that by calling the Municipal Court at 761-7880.
