A man police and sheriff's officers have been looking for since last month is now in jail.
Monday afternoon, Wichita Falls Police were dispatched to Bailey Street after receiving a call that a wanted man was in the area. When they arrived at the location, officers say the man took off running. He was caught a short time later near the Housing Authority.
Jarvis Tramaine Mitchell was booked into jail for evading arrest and for violation of probation for aggravated robbery. Wichita County Sheriff's officials are saying Mitchell ran from them on February 25 when they made a routine traffic stop on Central Freeway.
He was one of 4 people arrested in August of 2011 for an assault and robbery at America's Best Value Inn.
