A woman is charged with embezzling money from Sutherland's.
Fifty-two year-old Virgie Gibson is charged with theft under $20-thousand.
According to the arrest affidavit, in December, the manager of the Sutherlands store in the 14-hundred block of Southwest Pkwy. noticed Gibson making fraudulent merchandise returns and then pocketing the money.
The manager says Gibson sent her text messages admitting to the theft.
Officers say when they interviewed Gibson, she admitted to taking more than $5000 from the business.
Gibson is out on a $1000 bond.
