An explosion at a home in Cotton County, OK rattles the small community of Temple, southeast of Walters Tuesday afternoon.

The blast happened at a home in the 300 block of West Minnesota Street shortly after 2 pm. According to Cotton County Under Sheriff David Johnston, the explosion quickly engulfed the small home in flames, killing a man inside.

The victim's identity has not been released and the cause of the explosion is still under investigation. "Right now, the medical examiner is on scene and the state fire marshal will be here shortly and pretty much right now, everything is pending on the investigation," Johnston said.

Johnston also says no one else was hurt in the blast. Temple volunteer firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze caused by the explosion.
