A recent study propels
United Regional to a higher ranking in its trauma unit.

United Regional is now a level two trauma facility.

Since 2003 the hospital has been a level III trauma facility.

To become a level II, United Regional's Emergency Center, Operating Rooms, Critical Care Center and other components passed the review by the American College of Surgeons.

"We get these certifications and accolades not only because of the title but because of the fact we are working very hard to make sure we provide best practice care and we think the citizens here deserve the very best," said Nancy Townley, from United Regional.

United regional says about 20 thousand patients who are injured from motor vehicles, falls, and cuts, are taken care of at the hospital each year.
