Coordinators of Faith Mission's signature fundraiser say they are in need of sponsors.

The homeless shelter's annual Night In A Box fundraiser is next month.

Coordinators are extending the signup deadline to Tuesday hoping more sponsors will come on board.

During the event participants sleep in cardboard boxes to experience what it's like to be homeless.

Coordinators say this year the event is not just raising money for Faith Mission.

"Our challenge now that we've opened a second shelter is raising operating expenses for both shelters and Faith Refuge is costing about $36,000 a month to operate. So, this event is really crucial to bringing in operating expenses," says Vicky Payne, Faith Mission Marketing Director.

Sponsorship levels for night in a box range from $250 to $10,000.

You can sign up by calling Faith Mission during business hours at 940-723-5663.

The deadline to do so is by Tuesday, March 13th by 5 p.m.

And Night In A Box is Friday, April 26th at Sikes Senter Mall.
