An
MSU assistant art
professor is combining social issues with graphic design to educate
people about problems Ugandans
face.
In an art exhibit called "This is My Reality," created by Jennifer Yucus, displays various Ugandan crafts from a trip she took to Uganda last summer.
She then took inspiration from those pieces and created her own, highlighting social justice issues people face there, which she hopes will move her audience to action.
"I really want them to be moved in some way shape or form to do something or for them to take on a social issue in their area of choice," she said.
The exhibit is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 am. to 5 pm. until April 19th.
