Police say they still don't know who left a suspicious package at a Burkburnett gas station yesterday.

Officers were called to a gas station in the 900-block of Sheppard Rd. just after nine yesterday morning for reports of a suspicious package left by the gas pumps.

Sheppard's bomb-detecting K9 was called to the scene.

Burk PD Sergeant Lahoma Vaughn tells us the K9 did not sense any explosives, but she says the package is considered to be a hoax bomb.

Police say they found square shaped box wrapped in insulation tape and has a black duct taped handle.

Making a hoax bomb is a class a misdemeanor in the State of Texas.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage to see who left the package.

If you have any information on this situation, call Burk PD at (940) 569-2231.
