Overnight Shooting Under Investigation in Wichita Falls

An overnight shooting sends a Wichita Falls man to the hospital.

Police were called out to  the 21 hundred block of Avenue K shortly before midnight.

Officials say an 18 year old man was shot in the face, and the bullet narrowly missed an artery.

Sgt. Bill Henning says, "They asked detectives to come on out and investigate. and that's what we're doing at this point, we're gathering witness statements and we were able to take a statement from the victim."

Police say the suspects drove off in an unknown vehicle. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers 322-9888.
