It's Rider-Old High Rivalry Week in High School Soccer, a game that holds a special place in the hearts of many here in Wichita Falls.

This week's game will have and added significance for Senior Lady Raider Payton Becker as a ceremony at halftime will be held to remember her father, who was killed three years ago when a drunk driver collided with the Time Warner Cable Bucket Truck he was working in. Causing him to fall to his death.

"My dad raised me playing soccer. He taught me, he coached me. It was always a kind of a big deal for Rider-Old High games and he loved that." Said David Becker's Daughter Payton Becker.

That love for the game has been passed down from father to daughter and along with the halftime ceremony.

Old High and Rider players alike will each show their own way to honor his memory.

"We make hairbows for Rider's team and the opposing team. They have blue in them for my father; that was his favorite color. They have black and gold in them for Rider. It also has ladybugs in them because that's kind of our thing." Said Payton Becker.

Money will also be raised during the game to benefit organizations raising awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving and reminded texomans that even one beer is too many to get behind the wheel.

"People don't think about once you get in the car drunk, you don't think you can hit somebody and kill somebody. Nobody thinks about that. They just think, okay I'm just going to drive home. It's going to be okay." Said Payton Becker.

"If they would just call friend, call a family member, call a taxi. They can save their life. They can save you know, somebody like Kevin." Said Kevin Becker's Wife Brandy Becker.
