Some people who went to an annual festival in Saint Jo that's dedicated to celebrating self-proclaimed rednecks took their fun a little too far this weekend.

Montague County Sheriff Paul Cunningham says authorities arrested 36 people during "Rednecks with Paychecks," a weekend full of concerts and events like rock-crawling and mudding.

Those arrests occurred between Friday and Saturday night. Cunningham says two people are charged with resisting arrest, two are charged for assault, and the rest of those are for public intoxication and minor in possession or consumption.
