W.F. Fines Issued for Water Restriction Violators

By: Mechell Dixon
Updated: March 20, 2013

More than two dozen Wichita Falls residents are paying the price for not following stage 3 water restrictions.

Back in February, city leaders used the low waters of Lake Arrowhead to help push their point on the critical need for residents to conserve water.

And they stressed anyone who is found not following restrictions would be fined.

City officials tell us that from February 6th through today, 29 citations have been issued.

They did not specify if any of those citations included a second or third offense but we do know that fines range from $25 to more than $2,000, minus court costs.
