Financial Aid Event Scheduled for Students & Parents

By: Mechell Dixon
Updated: March 21, 2013

The school year will soon come to an end but instead of thinking about the summer break the United Way wants students and parents to start concentrating on money for college.

The United Way is hosting a financial aid event for students and parents this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It will be held at Washington Jackson Elementary at 1300 Harding Avenue and have volunteers on-hand to help you fill out federal and state financial aid applications.

Coordinators say make sure you bring your 2012 tax forms, if completed, or your W-2 forms and a picture ID.
