Midwestern State senior Corbin Thomas added to his collection of postseason awards Thursday afternoon when he was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' All-South Central Region first-team squad.

The 6-8 forward from Chicago was also named to a Daktronics All-South Central first-teamer by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America earlier this month.

The All-Lone Star Conference first-team selection and Co-Newcomer of the Year notched 11 double-doubles while leading the Mustangs to their fifth conference title in the last seven seasons averaging 14.1 points and 8.4 rebounds a game.

The one-year transfer from Missouri State poured in 20 points five times this season and booked at least 10 points in 25 of 31 games including a season-best 27-point, 18-rebound effort in MSU's LSC-clinching victory over Texas A&M-Commerce on Feb. 20 at D.L. Ligon Coliseum.

Thomas' leadership helped Midwestern earn an at-large bid to participate in the NCAA Division II South Central Regionals for the fifth consecutive season.
