Doug Bilyeu

By: KFDX 3 News
Updated: October 10, 2012
Doug Bilyeu anchors KFDX 3 news at 5,6 and 10 with Gwyn Bevel. He has been with KFDX since June of 1995.

A native Oklahoman, Doug began his career as News Director/Anchor at the NBC affiliate in Garden City, KS.   He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University in May of 1992 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

Along with Gwyn Bevel, Skip McBride and Tobin McDuff, Doug hosts the annual North Texas Rehab Television Auction in mid April.  He also co-hosts the annual Children's Miracle Network broadcast that raises money for pediatric services at United Regional Healthcare System in Wichita Falls.

Doug is very familiar with rural issues in Texoma.  He grew up on a wheat farm/ cattle ranch in Crescent, OK.   Driving a John Deere tractor or working cattle comes just as easy as writing and reporting the news!

Doug is very active in the community.  He is a member of First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls.    He has served on the board for the North Texas Chapter of the American Cancer Society where he also has served as Publicity Chairman for the Cattle Baron's Ball fundraiser.  He has also served as President and board member for Inheritance Adoptions in Wichita Falls.

Doug's wife, Denise is an elementary teacher in the WFISD.  Both are kept very busy with their three children's full slate of activities.
