Updated: October 10, 2012
Darrell Franklin has anchored KFDX 3 News @ 10 with Gwyn Bevel since January, 2012.

He was hired in February, 1992, as a studio camera operator. A year later, he was directing weekend newscasts. Darrell moved from production to the newsroom in January, 1994. Then, during the summer of '96, he was asked to co-anchor the weekend newscasts. Darrell continued to do that and report on stories from around the region until October, 2005, when he moved over to anchor Fox, Texoma's News @ 9 on KJTL until October, 2012.

Darrell earned his degree in Mass Communications at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, and grew up in Iowa Park. He graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1988. His interests while growing up included band, jazz band (trumpet), and tennis. Darrell and his wife, Kelly, have three children: Connor, Kamryn, and Collin. In his time off, Darrell enjoys his family, grilling and barbecuing, and watching sports while often spending time with friends.

Darrell, on the Spirit of Texoma: "Its evident to anyone who takes pride in the heroes, legends, and lasting beauty found here. Its the people before us who made Texoma great, and those who will step up to do the same tomorrow."
